Pamporovo is located in the Rhodopi mountain at 1650 meters above sea level, at the foot of the mountain peak Snejanka, where almost all ski tracks strart. The winter holiday resort Pamporovo has been providing opportunities for ski sports since the 60-ies of the 20-th century. At present, the ski zone is completely modernized and it includes 37 kilometers of ski tracks for alpine disciplines and a half-pipe track for snowboard fans. There is also 25-kilometer-long ski run, which passes through exceptionally beautiful localities from Pamporovo to Mugla village, perfect for ski running.You can also enjoy riding on motor sledges. The equipment has the capacity for 11 600 people per hour. There are 9 ski tow lines, 6 ski lifts (seats), as well as artificial snow system. You can also enjoy the Ski-doo excursion with motor sledges.
The resort is well known for its ski school with large numbers of highly qualified instructors speaking a plethora of foreign languages. After a long day in the mountain the resort has a bowling alley, ice skating rink, casino's nightclubs and plenty of bars and restaurants, where you can taste the unique Rhodopian cuisine.


Day 1. Sofia
Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Tour in the centre of Sofia, The Parliament, National art gallery ( before a King palace), Russian church, officially known as the Church of St Nicholas the Miracle-Maker, built by donations of russian emigrants, National theatre and the Church “St.Sofia” – the second oldest church in Sofia after the rotunda “St.George” and the cathedral “St.Alexander Nevsky”, built in 1912. Free time. Dinner in traditional restaurant with bulgarian cuisine and music.Overnight.

Day 2. Sofia-Pamporovo
Breakfast. Departure for Pamporovo. Trip to Bachkovo Monastery. It is founded in 1083 and is an important monument of Christian architecture and one of the largest and oldest Eastern ortodox monasteries in Europe.The monastery is known and appreciated for the unique combination of Byzantine, Georgian and Bulgarian culture, united by the common faith. The Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary (dating from 1604) is the place where a valuable icon of the Virgin Mary Eleusa from 1310 is kept. The icon is wonder-working and it is attracting many pilgrims. The museum of the monastery has a rich exhibition of church plate, icons, books, the sword of Friedrich Barbarossa, a sultan's firman from 1452, a wood-carved cross with miniatures.
Late afternoon- arrival at Pamporovo and accommodation in a hotel. Free time. Overnight.

Day 3-7 Pamporovo
Breakfast. Free time for skiing, walks in the mountain or in Pamporovo and excursions. Overnight.

Snejnka 2,3,4, Malina and The South (difficult) - be careful- here the adrenaline will increase your heart rate!

Day 8. Pamporovo-Sofia
Breakfast. Departure for Sofia. Transfer to the airport.

Excursion to Shiroka Luka
The village of Shiroka Luka is located 16km away from Pamporovo. It was declared a folklore and an architectural reserve. The old houses here were built in the architectural style, typical of Rhodopi mountain. Sgurovska house, Uchikovska house and Grigorovska house are the most famous houses here with their own unique image and charm. Also interesting lndmarks are the church “The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary", the Ethnographic museum and the two century-old willows.

Excursion to Plovdiv
Tour in Ancient Plovdiv. Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria after Sofia and it has more than 6000 years history- one of the most ancient cities in Europe. Scientists think that it might be contemporary of Troy, older than Athens and Rome. Plovdiv is situated in the southern part of the Plovdiv Plain on the two banks of the Maritsa River. During the centuries it was populated by thracians,romans,gothes and ottomans which thraces made the city a living museum.
Visiting Balabanov House, the aqueduct, arheological site “Nebet tepe”, the fortress of Filipopulous, Hisar kapiq, church “St. Konstantine and Helen”, the roman forum( amphitheatre), roman stadium and the clockwork tower in Sahat tepe, built in 16th century and still working.

Excursion to Belintash
Belintash is one of the most mysterious and oldest megalithic sites in the world, founded 7000 years ago. They say it is a magical place, which name means "Stone of Knowledge". It is300 meters long plateau in the heart of Rhodopa Mountain -an Thracian sanctuary of an ancient Tracian god. Mediums go there to “recharge” their powers. Points of interest in Belintash are the two water reservoirs- perfect circular holes into the rock. It is a mystery how ancient Thracians could have made them. The reservoirs they never dry up. According to one legend, these rocks gave shelter to Noah’s Ark. Researchers also see carved into the cliffs an ancient astronomical observatory. Nothing comapres to the magical feeling you will get on Belintash- being on top of the world, full with holy powers, reconnecting with your ancestors.

Excursion to The Marvelous Bridges
The trip is a must for everyone - this is definitely one of the most impressive landmarks in Bulgaria, an amazing expression of nature’s “imagination”. The "bridges" were formed by the erosive activity of the river. It transformed the marble clefts into a deep water cave, the ceiling of which whittled up through time and collapsed during an earthquake.The large one is 15 metres at its widest and 96 metres long, and shaped by three vault arches, the largest of which is 45 metres high and 40 metres wide. The River flows under the middle-sized arch. Both bridges are safeguarded and can be walked over and under. The area is strewn with century-old spruces, which makes the place even more spectacular. An interesting tradition is every tourist to write his name under the Large Bridge with stick of charcoal.

Excursion to The Trigrad Gorge and The Devil's Throat cave
The Trigrad Gorge is a canyon of vertical marble rocks, reaching 350 m in height. The gorge encloses the course of the Trigrad river that plunges into the Devil's Throat cave and 530 m further comes out as a large karst spring. This cave is named Devil's Throat because of a legend according to which nothing thrown into the river ever reappeared. When making researches, cave specialists poured colorful water along the stream, which went out after 2 hours! Also, it is believed that Orpheus went down to the Kingdom of Hades exactly through here to save his sweetheart Eurydice. There is a Thracian legend, saying that leaders were thrown here, so that they could remain immortal. You will convince yourself this legends might be true when you start climbing up to the cave’s exit- one unforgettable experience.
This cave contains the second highest underground waterfall in any tourist cave of the world, which is 42 m high. The whole area with its gorges and natural bridges is recognized as national landmark and is under special protection.

Excursion to The Trigrad Gorge and Yagodinska cave
Arrival at the area of Trigrad Gorge- one of the most spectacular “ideas” of nature and a famous landmark. It is a canyon of vertical marble rocks in the Rhodope Mountains. The gorge's west wall reaches 300 m in height, while the east one extends up to 300–350 m.
Trip to Yagodinska Cave. It is located 3 km south-east of the village of Yagodina and represents a three-level labyrinth of total length of 10km and is one of the deepest caves in Bulgaria. A walk along the well-lit tourist trail (1100 m.) reveals magnificent cave formations-stalactites, stalagmites, stalactones, helictites, cave lakes, lichen, dendrites, draperies and one of the most unique formations-cave pearls. There are 22 kinds of cave formations here out of 28 kinds of cave formations known in the world. Archeological objects dating from the 4th and 5th centuries BC have also been discovered there. There is a wedding hall in this cave, where people get married. The temperature in the cave is stationary at +6 C.

Excursion to Zlatograd
Trip to the Ethnographic Area Complex in the old part of Zlatograd in Rhodopes Mountain. It represents one big open museum where you will discover the unique demonstration of traditional working skill in craftsmen workshops.Traditional architecture and crafts are coming back to life. In these craft shops experienced masters create unique models – knives, swords, as well as leather articles, which are crafted almost nowhere else. The legend about Delju the haidouk comes to life with the ancient mould for casting bullets. The most attractive site in the Complex is Vuntsov’s water-mill with three different water works – fulling-mill (he traditional “washing-machine”), felting-mill and primitive water-mill.You can enjoy the unique taste of the famous Zlatograd “rotated” coffee, boiled over sand and served by very attractive ritual, in cafe "The old town".
